The Stockton Maritime Museum team is comprised of a Board of Directors, Advisors, and a Volunteer corps. We are Stocktonians, veterans, craftsman, and maritime history enthusiasts who are dedicated to ensuring that Stockton’s shipbuilding legacy lives on.
Board of Directors

David Rajkovich, President
A lifelong farmer, David founded Farmington Fresh, and is a current Board member of the Historic Naval Ships Association (HNSA). He is an active advocate for military veterans.

Donald Reinhart, Chairman
A US Navy veteran, Don founded and ran Delta Charter Lines for over 30 years. A Stockton native & licensed ship captain, he has navigated our local waterways his entire life.

Karen Rajkovich, Treasurer
Karen is a Registered Nurse specialized in surgical nursing. She trained at Stanford Medical Center, among other institutions, and has been with the museum since it began in 2011.

Dr. Gary Howells, Board Member
Gary served in Vietnam, including a tour on USS Firm, a sister ship of USS Lucid. A former US Navy Commander, he retired as a professor from University of the Pacific.

Wes Rhea, Board Member
After 19 years as the Visit Stockton CEO & President, Wes is now the CEO & President of Visit Lodi. He is a lifelong Stockton resident and an Army veteran.

Donald Geiger, Board Member
Don is the third-generation business owner of Geiger Manufacturing. He recently retired from his law practice, and is now the museum’s legal advisor.

Stanley Rapada, Board Member
Stanley is a veteran advocate and higher-education leader with over five decades of military service and transformational community leadership. A retired Senior Chief Petty Officer, he brings strategic vision, storytelling, and a deep commitment to public history.
Advisors

Rex Ramsey, Co-Founder & Board Advisor
Rex is a licensed architect with 44 years of experience. He co-manages the design and permitting process for the museum’s future permanent home.

John Van Huystee, Board Advisor
John has a background as a building contractor, and is a vocational instructor at Building Futures Academy (BFA). He oversees restoration of the USS Lucid.

Sheila Goulart, Board Advisor
Sheila is a Founder of Building Futures Academy (BFA), the vocational high school where USS Lucid is temporarily berthed and being restored by students.
