The first Annual Giving Campaign for the USS Lucid (MSO-458) restoration is a short-term effort to request a donation of $100, $250, $500, $1,000, or more, before December 31, 2016.  However, support at all levels and donations of any amount, will be gratefully accepted. All donations go directly to the restoration of the ship.

2016 Accomplishments: We made a significant progress through donor support and amazing volunteers in 2016 completing the restoration of the pilot house, chart room, wardroom; and forward deck repairs, gun mount foundation repairs and engine room watertight bulkhead repairs. Substantial progress was made on projects including forward berthing, crews head, laundry, and ships office.

Looking ahead: For 2017 we will focus on the ships plumbing so the Lucid has working heads, and a fire sprinkler system.  We plan to build the original radio room racks and desks, and install the original radio transmitter, receivers, and  TTY gear already on hand. We also expect to complete the galley. Our volunteers will continue our ongoing superstructure wood repair and painting will begin once weather permits in the spring.

We cannot do the work needed to restore the USS Lucid without your support. Your donations go directly to the needed hardware, supplies, and tools our volunteers need to complete the mission.
